The Majestic Bald Eagle

Image
There are a few critters on this planet that I know I will never tire of watching or photographing. The bald Eagle is one of those critters! This winter has been a really good year for photographing them. I haven't gotten one grabbing a fish yet (thats a bucket shot for me) but I'm sure that that photo is coming. I have been saving up a bunch of photos just for this post, so I will start with some photos of a Bald Eagle on a post. WARNING they will be graphic. Hey a bird has to eat... Right? Also I would like to point out that all these photos will be of adult Eagles. Although I have taken a ton of pictures of Juveniles and some are really nice shots, I have enough nice shots of adults for this post. So here are the rest. I don't think I really need to say anymore the pictures capture what needs to be said anyway.

Shooting in the fog

Image
So most photographers wont or don't like shooting when its cloudy or foggy. I have found it to be rewarding to say the least. This first picture is the first one that made me realise that these types of photos are kinda cool. Plus this is the most famous Grizzly on the planet right now. Meet Bear 399 and her not one, not two, not three, but four cubs. I took this photo back in 2020. The fog was thick as you can see. Having just the outline of the five of them like this is just such a cool vision. And so this was the catalyst for me and pictures in the fog. I made a trip this week to capture wildlife in the fog, and the other photos that fallow are the ones from that trip. The two above are showing just how thick the fog was that day. The two above are a couple of my favorites from that day. The next is a Kestrel that gave me the chance to shoot him looking in every derection. The best one to me is the one where he is looking straight at me.
